Rec/P1 had such a great time on Monday visiting the Giant's Causeway for a Minibeast Hunt! We met with Cliff who took us a big walk to see a bug hotel that he and some other children had built. He talked to us about the different types of bugs we might find and asked us some questions about where they might live. As we had been learning all about minibeasts habitats, the children were able to go hunting and find some themselves. Cliff gave them all a little transparent pot, so they could have a closer look at what everyone had found, then he put them all back into their homes when we were finished. We then got to go on the bus the whole way down to the Causeway stones where Cliff told us about a big giant called Finn McCool! A big thank you to the National Trust who helped us plan the day, we really enjoyed it!
